Introduction

Welcome to the Credit Union movement in North Wales

The information given in the following pages is intended to guide you through the basics of joining a Credit Union, how they work and where you fit in as a member.

Each Credit Union in North Wales is part of a world-wide movement and aims to provide a good quality service to its members. It is run by volunteers who have been trained in Credit Union management, and the Registry of Friendly Societies at the Financial Services Authority regulates all its business.

The Credit Union does not discriminate between people because of their beliefs, gender, sexuality, race or ability.

Most Credit Unions provide a service for people who live or work within their specific boundaries.
